Getting Started
This guide will help you set up Max AI Alt Text Optimizer and start optimizing your store images.
Installation
From Shopify App Store
- Visit the Shopify App Store
- Search for "Max AI Alt Text Optimizer"
- Click "Add app" and follow the installation process
- Grant the necessary permissions
Initial Setup
Once installed, you'll be taken to the app dashboard where you can:
- Review App Permissions: The app needs access to read and update your product images
- Choose Your Plan: Select from Lite (Free), Max, or Ultra plans
- Configure Basic Settings: Set your preferred language and optimization method
First Steps
1. Dashboard Overview
The dashboard provides a comprehensive overview of your store's image optimization status:
- Alt Text Coverage: Percentage of images with alt text (from any source)
- Max Optimized Rate: Percentage of images optimized by Max AI
- By Image Type: Breakdown by Products, Collections, and Blogs
- Recent Activity: Latest optimization operations
2. Initial Store Scan
Before optimizing, scan your store to identify images:
- Click "Scan your store images" on the dashboard
- Choose scan types: Products, Collections, Blogs, or All
- Wait for the scan to complete (this may take a few minutes)
- Review the results and statistics
3. Basic Configuration
Template Settings (Optional)
Configure default templates for different content types:
- Product Template:

Automation Settings (Optional)
Set up automated optimization:
- Enable automation in Settings
- Choose scan frequency (daily/weekly)
