  2. Overall results were definitely not ideal. Though expected to be poor, it was even worse than expected!
  3. Won't make major adjustments to PMAX this week (like reducing budget or setting TROAS), just want to continue running for another week to see.
  4. Will make slight adjustments to Shopping Ads, mainly focusing on manual CPC.

Product Optimization

  1. I have one product that actually sells quite well with high profit margins, but had 3 returns (other products didn't have quality-related returns, 1-2 were clearly trying to get free products). I personally wasn't satisfied with this product's quality either. So I "pretentiously" removed this product. This is also the main reason for last week's profit decline, as this was my main best-selling product. Now starting to find new factories for custom production.

Two reasons:

  • Short-term: This money made me uncomfortable, I don't want to open my mailbox every day worried about complaints.
  • Long-term: The lifeline of an independent site is definitely product and service, above brand/traffic and other marketing activities.
  1. Discussed 2 brand authorizations. 3 products from 2 brands have been running Google ads for over a week. Ad volume isn't high, but results seem okay, sold some. So preparing to officially become an agent. Actually, being a brand agent has 2 benefits for solopreneurs:
  • First, product quality is somewhat guaranteed, compared to most 1688 factory products;
  • Second, marketing materials, which is what I'm most urgently lacking.

Joined Shopify Collab Network

Surprised to find the small store broke through 10K USD in sales, qualifying for Collab Network. After opening on Saturday, already had 4-5 KOCs apply. But not very optimistic, so just going with the flow, only gave them affiliate links and a 5-pound gift card.

Small Celebration

Broke through 10K USD in sales in 2-3 months (70K+ RMB)

  • Mid-February: Casually started building the site
  • Late April: Opened UK company
  • May 13: Got first organic traffic order
  • Mid-May: Subscribed to Shopify annual plan
  • June 14: Officially started running Google ads (official business)
  • August 23: Officially broke through 10K USD in sales

This is a real milestone for a cross-border newbie with zero sales or e-commerce experience. Hope it helps all solopreneurs.
