Recent Actions

Actions taken

  1. Ad Strategy Adjustment: Previously UK data was abnormal, so we started a new group for testing. Overall bidding strategy was adjusted to maximize conversion value, and currently the data has stabilized. Now running 2 standard shopping campaigns, one for UK and one for Australia.

  2. Long-term Traffic Building: Since October, I realized that relying solely on ads is unstable. Started working on longer-term traffic sources:

    • After SEM stabilized, spent more time researching SEO, especially backlinks - this is purely an investment of time and resources
    • For social, previously ran product ads, now starting to run engagement ads to increase page followers

Good News to Share

Good news

  • Roas Back to 4+: Partly due to luck, partly due to affiliate and organic traffic. If I can stabilize at 3, I'd be very happy.

  • Backlink Partnership Worked: The first successful backlink partnership has already brought 7 orders since the article went live! Last week, I immediately reached out to the blogger again and sent 2 additional products.

  • Backlink Outreach Progress: Sent 30 emails last week and successfully locked in 2 new free collaboration opportunities (ignoring paid ones for now). Currently in communication (though definitely not as high quality as the first one).

The Not-So-Good News

Challenges

  • Peak Season Shipping Costs Surge: Due to peak season, European shipping costs have become very expensive, it's a bloodbath. Small solopreneurs only get hurt during peak season.

  • Backlink Outreach is Hard and Slow: Sent nearly 100 precisely targeted emails, but very few replies.

  • SEO Shows No Significant Growth: SEO overall performance is still showing no obvious growth. But my mindset is actually okay, because as I've always said, the methods aren't that difficult - it's about whether you can persist and maintain steady healthy growth.

  • Meta Ads Are Frustrating: Meta ads are really无语 (speechless), getting banned every now and then.

Some Other Updates

Last week I officially purchased a year of hosting, planning to build a small blog for myself, and also test out WordPress. It's indeed a bit troublesome, but I have to admit the ceiling is very high. Will share more later when I have experience.

Looking for collaborators

Looking for Real Solopreneurs

Are there any solopreneurs currently doing 0-1 who want to share your success and failure stories?

Want to策划 (plan) a new series of content, hoping to exchange and share with more real solopreneurs, and share the content on social media to help more newcomers understand the real state of cross-border e-commerce.

Looking for Cross-border E-commerce Service Providers

Are there any individuals or small studios providing cross-border e-commerce services?

  • Website building
  • Product photography
  • Social media operations
  • Influencer marketing
  • SEO
  • And more

Requirements:

  • Not company-level (otherwise it becomes another promotional event/cloud salon)
  • Must be actual business executors (no middlemen), meaning if you do website building, you must be the one building websites yourself with sufficient expertise

First, there may be business cooperation needs. Second, similar to the above, from your perspective, I want to share the real full picture of cross-border e-commerce.
