9k Revenue, Down 32% WoW, Stay Calm | Global Selling Solopreneur Weekly Report W33 (0807-0813)

Weekly Review: Continued Decline

  1. Since the Pmax campaign couldn't run at full volume and was also preventing my standard shopping ads from running fully, I closed Pmax again on Tuesday.

When I closed it, standard shopping ads started running like crazy. After three days of crazy running, no orders came in? Panic level 100.

Then with new products launched, Friday night, I opened Pmax again, so ads couldn't run at full volume again. Thought this week would be a total crash, but got a few orders instead, slightly stabilizing the situation.

  1. Australia's 2 standard shopping ads have actually been very stable, accounting for over 60% of total ad spend, but ROAS is gradually underperforming. Need to adjust and optimize this week.

  2. Launched 2 new products, will start Meta ads this week.

  3. Will continue to launch 3-4 new products this week.

  4. Got a German B2B customer inquiry!!

  5. Got a Slovenia user inquiry.

  6. After-sales facing challenges. Used to get excited seeing unread customer emails, now getting nervous seeing them.

Insights (Lvsao's Cross-Border Chicken Soup)

New solopreneurs infinitely shrink time granularity. We measure time in hours.

For example, you want to stare at your dashboard every moment because you know every potential customer entry means $5-6 gone. Or you check your Instagram or TikTok views and followers daily, and if one video underperforms, you start wondering if it's the node or content issues.

I'm still slowly overcoming this, and I don't have the courage to tell newcomers not to care about short-term stuff. Because I understand better than anyone how hard this process is.

But if I must share a tip: find multiple paths to try.

I know many say to focus on one thing or channel. But from my real experience, I focused on Instagram growth for over a month, naively thinking "Instagram exploded" was real, so I cared deeply about the Instagram channel.

Posting 3-4 reels daily, all kinds of random content daily, reaching out to various KOLs daily, dreaming about Instagram growth daily. But Instagram still has 0 conversions.

Later decided to try Google, which brought some turnaround.

So I still encourage myself to try various platforms, channels, and methods because:

  1. As a solopreneur, don't believe hearsay about what works or doesn't. You must try yourself. Your product category might be better suited for something else.

  2. Can greatly relieve the困境 and anxiety of being stuck in one channel or method without growth.

Don't say limited energy. If you have limited energy, don't play global selling independent sites. Platforms or even other domestic entrepreneurship might be easier.

The biggest characteristic or advantage of solopreneurs is high flexibility. Do what you want, try what you want.
