Shopify Collabs Commission Payment Mechanism
How Do KOLs Receive Payments?
For affiliate members (KOLs): When they register for the Shopify Collabs system, they will fill in their payment method.
How Are Merchants Charged?
For store owners (us): Shopify will automatically deduct commissions and service fees from our Shopify payment method. So you don't need to make any settings.
You can view specific billing information in your backend under Billing.
How to Set Payment Terms?
After a successful order is placed through affiliate promotion, the commission is not immediately paid to the affiliate. Otherwise, this wouldn't be fair to merchants, as issues like returns and refunds could occur.
You can go to the Collabs backend to set the payment terms - essentially how many days after the order to pay the KOL.
Make sure to set it beyond your refund policy window. Shopify supports up to 90 days.
