Smart Filtering

Control exactly what gets translated with language, resource, and tag filters.

Stay Informed

Optional email notifications keep you updated on job completion.

Setup Steps

Go to Settings → Auto-Pilot in the app sidebar.

Enable Auto-Pilot

Toggle the Enable Auto-Pilot switch to activate the feature.

You can disable Auto-Pilot at any time without losing your configuration.

Select Languages

Choose which app-active languages to include in scheduled runs:

  • Select all languages, or
  • Choose specific languages for targeted translation

Only app-active languages can be selected. Add languages in the Languages page first.

Choose Resource Types

Select the content types to monitor and translate:

  • Products
  • Collections
  • Pages
  • Blog posts
  • Navigation menus
  • Shop policies
  • Email templates
  • Theme content

Start with one or two resource types to monitor credit usage before enabling all types.

Set Schedule

Choose how often Auto-Pilot checks for changes:

  • Hourly — Best for high-velocity stores
  • Daily — Recommended for most stores
  • Weekly — Good for stores with infrequent updates

Consider your content update frequency and credit budget when choosing a schedule.

Configure Filters (Optional)

Refine what gets translated:

  • Status filters — Include/exclude drafts or published items
  • Tag filters — Only translate items with specific tags
  • Exclude tags — Skip items with certain tags

Filters help control credit usage by excluding content you don't need translated.

Enable Notifications (Optional)

Choose your notification preferences:

  • Job completion — Get notified when Auto-Pilot jobs finish
  • Errors only — Only notify if a job fails
  • No notifications — Check History manually

Configure your notification email in the app settings.

Save Configuration

Click Save to apply your Auto-Pilot settings. The first run will occur according to your schedule.

Validate Results

After the first run:

  1. Go to History to see the completed job
  2. Review what was translated
  3. Check credit usage
  4. Adjust filters or schedule if needed

Best Practices

  • Start Conservative — Begin with one language and one resource type
  • Monitor Credits — Track how many credits Auto-Pilot consumes per run
  • Use Filters — Exclude draft content and unnecessary resource types
  • Review Regularly — Check that translations meet your quality standards
  • Adjust Schedule — Balance freshness with credit efficiency
